2009-2010 Diversity Handbook is available online

The Equal Opportunity Office has just published its second edition of the Diversity Handbook. It is accessible on the EO Office Web site at http://www.wwu.edu/eoo/publications.shtml.

The purpose of this handbook is two-fold:

• to enable colleagues to have a fuller understanding of the many diversity initiatives/classes across campus, which may facilitate enhanced collaboration; and
• to be used in efforts to recruit diverse students, faculty and staff by highlighting Western’s commitment to diversity and the exceptional efforts undertaken in this regard.

The EOO would like to thank all of those who have contributed to making the Diversity Handbook possible. The outstanding efforts of university administrators, faculty, staff and students reflect Western’s serious commitment to diversity and to making the WWU campus inclusive. The Equal Opportunity Office hopes that readers will find it informative and welcomes any suggestions or comments for future editions.
