New employees should register for sexual harassment prevention training

Washington state law and Western Washington University policy require that all new employees attend sexual harassment prevention training.

Faculty and staff new to Western -- and other faculty and staff who have never taken in-person SHPT at Western -- can sign up by visiting the Human Resources training site and then selecting “Equal Opportunity Office.”

Upcoming dates for the training are as follows, and all will be held in Viking Union Room 567.

• 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6
• 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9
• 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22
• 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, Nov. 7
