Markiewicz named to toxics workgroup

April Markiewicz, associate director of Western's Institute of Environmental Toxicology, has been appointed to the Puget Sound Ecosystem Monitoring Program Toxics Workgroup.

The main purpose of the workgroup is to focus similar and closely-related monitoring and assessment efforts for toxics in order to develop a strategic, credible, and efficient approach to tracking the health of the Puget Sound.

The geographic scope of the Workgroup is Puget Sound, but the workgroup engages with colleagues in Canada as needed.
