Losing your teaching voice? Theatre Arts professor to show how to strengthen and preserve your voice for lecturing

Rich Brown, an assistant professor of Theatre Arts at Western Washington University, will lead a 90-minute workshop May 10 to help attendees learn basic voice techniques to help keep their voices strong.

In the workshop, which is scheduled for 3:30 to 5 p.m. May 10 in Arntzen Hall Room 100, Brown will teach basic vocal health techniques of support, projection, tension release, and proper placement of resonance to help attendees keep their lecturing voices strong throughout their class sessions, days, terms and careers. Attendees will be in contact with the floor for part of the workshop and should wear comfortable clothing.

While space is not limited, only 20 participants can be accommodated. Please register for this event by emailing cii@wwu.edu.
