LGBTA to hold dance Dec. 3 on campus
The Associated Students Resource and Outreach Programs Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Alliance is holding its "Hom(o)coming" dance at 8 p.m. on Dec. 3 in the Viking Union Multipurpose Room.
The semi-formal event costs $1 for Western students with ID and $3 for general admission and is open to the public. The theme is "Fire and Ice."
"This dance is open to everyone," said Jordan Deal, Associated Students LGBTA assistant coordinator. "Just because the LGBTA puts it on doesn't mean only LGBTQ-identified people can attend."
The dance will feature Top 40, pop, dance and queer-inclusive music. Snacks and refreshments will be provided by the LGBTA. The dance has been popular in the past, with more than 200 attendees at last year's event.
