Learn all about sleep at Friday presentations

Ever wonder about the importance of sleep? The Faculty and Staff Wellness Program at Western Washington University is bringing naturopathic physician Kimberly Sandstrom to campus for lectures at noon and 1 p.m. Friday, March 2, in Where: Haggard Hall Room 153.

No reservations are necessary, and both presentations are free and open to the public.

Among the topics to be discussed:

  • The sleep cycle
  • The benefits of sleep
  • Consequences of sleep deprivation
  • Causes of sleep disorders
  • Natural remedies for getting a good night sleep

Sandstrom is a licensed, board-certified naturopathic physician and massage practitioner at Bellingham Natural Family Medicine. She is a graduate of Oregon State University (B.S. in microbiology and B.A. in international studies) and Bastyr University (doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine). She completed a two-year residency in integrative, community-based naturopathic medicine through the Bastyr Center for Natural Health in Seattle.
