Joseph Trimble presents papers, chairs symposia at Seattle conference

Joseph E. Trimble, a psychology professor at Western Washington University, participated in a panel discussion with former presidents of the Society for the Psychological Study of Ethnic Minority Issues in January. The discussion was titled “Diversity and Leadership” and took place at the National Multicultural Conference and Summit in Seattle.

Trimble also presented three papers at the conference, titled “Responsible and Ethical Conduct of Research with Ethnocultural Populations,” “Research Foundations of Multicultural Psychology: Reviewing Ethnic Influences in Mental Health” and “Does Level of Client Acculturation Influence Mental Health Services?”

He also chaired two symposia, titled “Ethnocultural Ethics in Research Informing Culturally-Based Intervention with American Indians and Alaska Natives“ and “Research Foundations of Multicultural Psychology; A Meta-Analysis Approach.”
