Join Western Washington University and LGBTQ+ Western at the annual Pride IN Bellingham celebration! The pride events are Saturday and Sunday, July 8 and 9. We will be part of the parade and festival on the 9th!

Saturday, July 8, Noon - 4 p.m.: Family Picnic at Boundary Bay Brewery

Saturday, July 8, 7-10 p.m.: All Ages Dance Party at Depot Market Square Building

Sunday, July 9, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.: Pride Parade. Waypoint Park-Depot Market Square

Sunday, July 9, Noon - 2 p.m.: Pride Festival at Depot Market Square Building

We will be part of the parade on Sunday, July 9 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. (set up at 10 a.m.). We are welcoming anyone from the Western community to join us in the parade: students, faculty, staff, alumni, and families and friends. This includes our cisgender and straight allies. We are centering our LGBTQ+ community members as leaders in the parade. The parade begins at Waypoint Park and ends that the Depot Market Square. The walk is 1.5 miles with some elevation change. We recommend comfortable shoes. If you are joining us in the parade, we encourage wearing LGBTQ+ affirming clothing (such as rainbow clothing) or Western gear!

We will have a sign creating party in the Viking Union 735 (Multicultural Center) on Thursday July 6th and Friday July 8th from 12-2pm. Stop by to make a sign or just hang out with LGBTQ+ Western staff!

Please RSVP here if you plan to join us in the parade so JoeHahn (LGBTQ+ Director) can get you the details.

From 12-4pm is the Pride IN Bellingham festival! This event includes over 100 vendors and organizations. Western will be there giving away free stickers, custom pronoun pins, and information about admissions and LGBTQ+ Western. Stop by to say hello!
