It's Disability Awareness Week at WWU

The Associated Students Disability Outreach Center is putting on a number of events for Disability Awareness Week, which began April 18.

The scheduled events are intended to promote awareness and understanding about disabilities.

The events are scheduled as follows:

Tuesday, April 19:

  • Disability Resource Fair from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Viking Union Multipurpose Room.
  • Speaker Kathie Snow at 6:30 p.m. in the Fairhaven Auditorium. Snow will give a presentation titled “Disability is Natural and Other Revolutionary Common Sense.”

Wednesday, April 20:

  • Social Issues Resource Center Intersections workshop from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in Viking Union 464.

Thursday, April 21:

  • Out of the Ashes concert performance 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Underground Coffeehouse.

Friday, April 22:

  • Communication Panel from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Environmental Science building 313.
