The selection of Marshall will go to the KPBSD School Board for their approval at the board's May 3 meeting."

Participants will get a glimpse into tribal institutions and culture during five classroom presentations by Lummi tribal leaders and Cheryl Crazy Bull, president of Northwest Indian College. They also will get a field trip to the Lummi Reservation and will learn about tribal fisheries, arts, social and educational services and cultural observances."

WSU gave up its nearly 50-year lease for the sprawling area south of Wenatchee late last year because of state budget cuts. Chelan County took over the lease, recently renamed it the Colockum Natural Resource Center, and is developing a new plan for the site."
