Patience paid off for Ferndale senior Mandy Wittmier in the second round of the Class 3A State Girls' Golf Championships on Wednesday, May 26, at the Horn Rapids Golf Club in Richland.
Despite opening her round in a downpour, Wittmier shot an 80, bettering her first-round score by 7 strokes.
Park and Ride
Buses (Whatcom Transportation Authority No. 14) start running at 11:30 a.m. and last bus leaves Fairhaven at 8:30 p.m.
• Drive to Western Washington University gravel parking lots on the south end of campus (from Fairhaven College to the Wade King Rec Center).
• Park free all day.
• Normal bus fees - $1 each way. Buses leave approx every 15 minutes
• 5-minute ride to Fairhaven with drop-off and departure at 12th Street and McKenzie Avenue
A former Fulbright scholar who has researched extensively on family life and aging has been named as the next president of Capilano University.
Kris Bulcroft, a PhD who is currently vice-president for academic affairs at Franklin College in Switzerland, will take up the top job at the university in August.
