Youth trip to Russia set stage for Bremerton woman's Peace Corp stint

A pair of scuffed and bronzed baby shoes with holes in both toes sits on display in Mo Anduiza's Bremerton living room.

It's a reminder of her globe-trotting daughter Jessica who, now in her 30s, has recently returned from Azerbaijan, where she served for more than two years as a Peace Corps volunteer. This month, the Peace Corps is celebrating its 50th anniversary, and Jessica spent part of her week in Bremerton talking to Soroptimists and others about the Peace Corps and the Azerbaijani people.
