WWU's Strickland unable to make cut at U.S. Amateur Championship

Western Washington University men's golfer Mark Strickland was unable to make the cut and did not advance to match play after shooting a round of 7-over par 79 in second-day action Tuesday, Aug. 12, at the 2014 U.S. Amateur Championship being held at the Atlanta Athletic Club Highlands Course.

Strickland, who is entering his senior season for the Vikings, finished with a 36-hole score of 12-over 155. The cut was set at 145.
