WWU women’s basketball fall short with rally

Junior guard Taylor Peacocke scored a team-high 20 points and senior center Kayla Bernsen recorded a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds, but it wasn’t enough as Western Washington University dropped a 69-65 contest to host Humboldt State on Saturday, Nov. 14, at the West Region Challenge in Arcata, Calif.

The Vikings evened their season record at 1-1 after opening the season Friday with a dominating 97-51 win over Fresno Pacific. Humboldt State evened its season record at 1-1 with the victory.
