WWU volleyball motivated to continue excellence

Chemistry is something Western Washington University's volleyball team has in abundance.

Between Kayla Erickson, Kelsey Moore, Taylor Dillard, Emily Cotter and Samantha Hutchinson, the five seniors combined to play 435 sets last season as juniors, missing five in total.

"It's a huge deal because volleyball is a sport about teamwork and how you get along with one another on the court," Cotter said in a phone interview. "Each time we step on the court, we're there for a purpose. That's our mindset, especially having five seniors with a really strong sense of leadership and we know where we want the team to go."
