WWU students review second annual Cascadia International Women’s Film Festival

For the review, WWU students in Greg Youmans' ENG 464: Film Criticism class divvied up the festival so that every screening and event was covered. They also met with Cascadia’s executive director Cheryl Crooks the week before the festival started. The review was an exercise in engaging generously with local media culture and also putting criticism in service of that culture. The students documented the events and screenings of the festival, praised it for its many successes and valuable contributions to the region, and also offered critiques of things they found troubling or unsuccessful.
