WWU resumes classes, holds meeting to address racism, security

Decrying systemic racism that they described as endemic at Western Washington University, faculty and staff members pledged to root out the causes during a Monday morning town hall-style meeting.

WWU canceled classes on Tuesday before Thanksgiving because of threats against students of color on social media. But in the aftermath, some students have criticized the school’s response to the threats, saying the administration didn’t go far enough.
