WWU opens welcome center in downtown Bellingham

Western Washington University has expanded its presence in the downtown district with an office in the Herald Building.

Named Western City Center, the 2,500-square-foot office opened for business on Monday, Sept. 21. It is expected to have a variety of uses as a welcome-to-Western center. This includes being a place where Western-branded items and event tickets can be purchased, according to a news release from the university. It also has a conference room to host a variety of public events for students, alumni and community members.
