WWU offers closer look at Venus in transit across sun

Anyone interested in watching as Venus passes between the Earth and the sun Tuesday afternoon, June 5, will be able to use equipment set up at Western Washington University.

WWU's department of physics and astronomy will set up solar telescopes in Red Square at 3 p.m. so the public can safely observe what is essentially a mini-eclipse as Venus passes before the sun.
