WWU launches class on Lummi Nation culture, institutions

"Western Washington University's Academy of Lifelong Learning is offering a six-session course entitled "Lummi Potpourri: Institutions and Culture," beginning April 28.

Participants will get a glimpse into tribal institutions and culture during five classroom presentations by Lummi tribal leaders and Cheryl Crazy Bull, president of Northwest Indian College. They also will get a field trip to the Lummi Reservation and will learn about tribal fisheries, arts, social and educational services and cultural observances."
