WWU is first-day leader at golf tournament

"West Region No. 5 seed Western Washington University is the first-day leader among 20 teams following Monday's play at the NCAA Division II Men's Golf Super Central/West Regional taking place at The Classic Club, a par 72, 7,100-yard layout in Palm Desert, Calif.

The three-day tournament runs through Wednesday. The 54-hole event is one of four super regionals being held across the country. The top five teams along with the top two individuals from non-qualifying schools from each super regional go to the national tournament on May 18-21 at the The Sagamore Club in Noblesville, Ind."
