WWU defeats Northwest for Goodrich Classic title

Tournament MVP Tia Briggs scored a game-high 16 points as the Western Washington University women's basketball team defeated Northwest University 83-44 to claim top honors at the 17th annual Lynda Goodrich Classic in final-day action on Saturday, Nov. 30, at WWU.

It was the 22nd-straight home victory for the Vikings, who improved to 3-3. Guard Jenni White had 13 points, all in the first half, and had a game-high six assists for WWU.
