WWU comeback falls short in 6-5 loss to Sonoma State

The Western Washington University softball team battled back from a five-run deficit to tie only to fall 6-5 on a unearned run in the seventh to Sonoma State University in a non-conference women's softball game Thursday at Warrior Field on the campus of Cal State Stanslaus.

WWU had a season-best six-game victory streak snapped, falling to 17-9. SSU improved to 24-11 with its seventh straight triumph. Hayley Condon driving in the winning run with a two-out double to left field.
