WWU approves contract for new president

Western Washington University’s trustees on Tuesday approved a five-year contract to pay incoming president Sabah Randhawa a base salary of $365,000.

Randhawa, who will begin the job Aug. 1, will also earn deferred compensation worth $145,000 if he stays until July 2021, the end of the contract.
