WWU alumna and current UW medical student attends Clinton Global Initiative University seminars

“Powerful” is the word Analiesse Isherwood uses to describe the feeling of having her work recognized.

Isherwood, a first-year medical student at the UW School of Medicine in Spokane, recently attended the Clinton Global Initiative University (CGI U), a seminar established by former President Clinton “to engage the next generation of leaders on college campuses around the world” by encouraging discussion about global issues.

The CGI U attracted more than 1,000 students from 50 states and 75 countries. Notable guest speakers included former Secretary of State Madeleine K. Albright and Jon Stewart, host of “The Daily Show.”
