WWU alum Crouch second-fastest U.S. woman in Boston Marathon

Former Western Washington University cross country and track and field standout Sarah Crouch (formerly Porter) was the 11th female to cross the finish line on Monday, April 18, at the 2016 Boston Marathon.

Crouch, who now calls Blowing Rock, N.C., home, completed the historic 26.2-mile course in 2 hours, 37 minutes, 36 seconds. She was the second-fastest United States female runner, behind only Colorado’s Neely Spence Gracey, who finished ninth in 2:35:00.
