WWU 12th on EPA green power university list

Western Washington University has been named one of the top "green power" universities in the country by the Environmental Protection Agency.

WWU, which buys 100 percent of its electrical energy from green sources, was ranked 12th out of 20 colleges and universities.

All the schools on the list are part of the EPA's Green Power Partnership, a voluntary program that can be joined by a variety of organizations and companies. WWU is the only university in the state on the list.
