Western Washington uses a team effort to win its NCAA Division II quarterfinal match

Western Washington will get a chance at some revenge and a shot at making the national finals in volleyball — all in one day.

The Vikings (27-5) won their NCAA Division II quarterfinal match Thursday, posting a 20-25, 25-17, 25-15, 25-22 victory over Rockhurst of Kansas City, Mo., behind the double-double of freshman Kayleigh Harper.

That puts WWU into the semifinals Friday at 2 p.m. against Wheeling (W.Va.) Jesuit, a 37-4 team that beat Western in straight sets to open the season.
