WCC to offer medical assisting, computer security programs for high school students

Whatcom County high school students will have more options to get college credit starting this fall, as a new partnership allows Whatcom Community College to offer additional programs for medical and technical careers.

The college is working with the Northwest Career & Technical Academy to offer programs in medical assisting and computer security and support, classes that juniors and seniors can take for high school credit. Students whose grades are Bs or better can apply to earn college credit for the courses as well.
