Vikings Score Early, Beat SFU, 4-0

Savanna Moorehouse (Sr., Bonney Lake, WA) had a goal and an assist in the first nine minutes, helping nationally ranked Western Washington University achieve its longest winning streak in the last three decades with a 4-0 triumph over Simon Fraser University on Thursday in a Great Northwest Athletic Conference women’s soccer game at Harrington Field.

The Vikings, ranked No. 2 for the second consecutive week in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America NCAA Division II Top 25 Poll, improved to 15-1-0 overall and remained perfect in the GNAC at 10-0-0. The Vikings have won 13 straight, their longest victory string since a 38-match win streak from 1982-84. SFU is 6-4-2 overall, 4-4-1 in the GNAC.
