Vandals spray fire extinguisher in WWU building

Vandals struck three academic buildings at Western Washington University Monday night, Jan. 6, pushing a couch down a stairway, discharging a fire extinguisher and damaging a bulletin board, according to university officials.

University police and the Bellingham Fire Department responded to the biology building at about 8 p.m., after the discharged fire extinguisher set off the building's fire alarm, university spokesman Paul Cocke said. People in the building had to be cleared when the alarm went off.
