UC Davis Health System appoints new associate vice chancellor

Chong Porter has joined UC Davis Health System as the institution’s first associate vice chancellor for health sciences development and alumni relations. Porter is responsible for enhancing the culture of philanthropy at the academic health system and expanding its base of donor support through alumni relations and community engagement.
“Chong Porter joins us at a pivotal time – we are in the midst of The Campaign for UC Davis, our university’s comprehensive $1 billion fundraising campaign.,” said Claire Pomeroy, UC Davis vice chancellor of human health sciences and dean of the School of Medicine. “A veteran of two successful capital campaigns, Chong brings to our organization a demonstrated ability to build high-performing, achievement-oriented teams and to motivate through personal leadership and energy.”
