Suquamish intern earns honors

The PME Scholarship Intern Program, designed to increase career opportunities for Suquamish tribal members, provides a full college scholarship for recipients including tuition, books, room, board and a monthly stipend. Interns are also given positions at the tribally-owned company during summer months, gaining knowledge in hospitality and gaming management.

Currently, PME has two scholarship interns at various stages in their educational careers including George and Lisa Jackson-Nickel, a Western Washington University junior. Previous graduates of the program include Brittany Bakken, Nigel Lawrence and Nic’Cola Armstrong and Veronica Rhodes.
