Programs aim to encourage students interested in health care careers

While the weather outside Toppenish High School on a recent weekday invited traditional summer break activities, the teenagers inside didn’t regret spending their morning and afternoon in class.

Twenty high school-age students were working on 3-D models of saturated and unsaturated fat molecules. They used molecular model kits to better visualize the chemical breakdown listed in the online exercise open on their Chromebooks.
