Learn Bees and Pollination with Gerdts and the Bee Squad

Jody Gerdts, a valuable leader in Marla Spivak's Bee Squad at the University of Minnesota, is a fourth generation beekeeper from Appleton, Wisc., who has spent the last decade in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains in Washington State. She holds a B.A. in Environmental Education and an M.S. in Environmental Science from Western Washington University in Bellingham, Wash. Gerdts plays a key role in the development and implementation of Bee Squad programs and helps with research projects through the Bee Squad. Her interests include pollination ecology, sharing bees with people, and learning to help bees help themselves.
