Klezmer and traditional jazz figure highly for singer who also teaches math at WWU

The Bellingham Herald

By day, Millie Johnson is an associate professor of mathematics at Western Washington University, teaching such courses as linear algebra or honors calculus.
By night, and sometimes on weekends, she sings her heart out with klezmer bands What the Chelm! and Millie & the Mentshn, as well as with the Halleck Street Ramblers.
The Ramblers play Sunday, April 29, at Blue Horse Gallery for a Traditional Jazz Society scholarship fundraiser.
