For a former NFL quarterback, you would think the hardest hits Eric Hipple took were on the field. But, Hipple, who played for the Detroit Lions for 10 years, has felt worse pain than rough tackles and broken bones.
In his book “Real Men Do Cry,” Hipple shares his story of battling depression after being cut from the team when he was 32 and the downward spiral he faced after his 15-year-old son committed suicide.
