Canadian Fossil Discovery Center becoming a strong draw for research

One of the primary reasons the Canadian Fossil Discovery Centre exists is for research, and that's why two students from Japan and the U.S. have come to continue their studies in paleontology here. Kati Slater is a geology major from Western Washington University, but she jumped at the chance to develop her undergrad thesis at the CFDC by studying the 'gammon ferruginous member' - a lower level of earth and shale rich with fossils.
