Breezy Johnson gets super-G start tonight

Twenty-four hours before her Olympic debut, Breezy Johnson didn’t even know she was racing. Johnson’s coach called her at 3:30 p.m. Friday (11:30 p.m. Thursday MST) and told the 22-year-old she was taking Mikaela Shiffrin’s spot in today’s super-G race.

“I have been given the green light,” Johnson told the News&Guide two hours after finding out. “I am racing.”
