Best Bets: B.C. poet talks about personal loss at WWU

On June 23, 1985, an airplane exploded off the Irish coast, killing everyone on board: 329 passengers and crew, with 82 children younger than age 13, and including Renée Sarojini Saklikar's aunt and uncle.

Saklikar talks about this incident and her poetry, which explore the nature of personal loss situated in the midst of public trauma, in a free talk at 4 p.m. Monday, March 10, at Western Washington University Library's Presentation Room.
