Bellingham to start watershed stormwater work near Bloedel Donovan

When street crews finish a new stormwater retrofit project this year, just about all city streets in the Lake Whatcom watershed will have their runoff treated before it enters the lake.

This week crews will begin a project to retrofit Flynn Street, which is south of Bloedel Donovan Park and connects Electric Avenue with Lakeside Avenue. It's part of a project to ensure stormwater from both Flynn and a portion of Lakeside is treated before entering the lake.
