Bellingham health-care expert new WWU trustee

Gov. Jay Inslee appointed health-care leader Maureen West of Bellingham to Western Washington University’s board of trustees for a six-year term ending September 2021.

With a doctorate in nursing from the University of Washington, West has extensive experience in the health-care field and health policy. She worked for a U.S. Senate subcommittee on disability policy, and was a staff member to former U.S. Sen. Robert Dole.
