Beacon carrier saves $3,000 for his future
A lot of kids with newspaper routes save up for skateboards or first cars. Ex-Beacon carrier Michael Bross saved up for college.
More than $3,000 for college, in fact.
Bross, 19, is now a student at the University of Arizona in Tuscon. The $3,000 he saved in tips for delivering The Beacon helped to pay for his tuition and books for his first semester.
“I paid for a good chunk of my first semester of tuition; about a third of it,” Bross said. “So it definitely helped.”
