Input needed on sustainability direction for Western

During Earth Week, the Sustainability Advisory Committee at Western Washington University invites the Western community to share ideas for the future of Western Sustainability. As campus initiates its first long-range sustainability plan, public input is needed. What does a sustainable campus look like? What should our goals be? What programs are important?

The "Envisioning Western Sustainability 2025" discussion will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, in Viking Union Multipurpose Room.

All students, staff and faculty are invited to comment on several areas of activity, including:

  • Climate and Energy
  • Curriculum & Research
  • Student Life
  • The Built Environment
  • Diversity
  • Dining Services
  • Purchasing
  • Transportation
  • Waste
  • Affordability
  • Community Engagement

Free pizza will be available for commenting attendees. Please share your thoughts on how to make Western a national leader in campus sustainability.

Those who are not able to attend may provide comments by emailing sustain@wwu.edu.
