Input needed on making Western more sustainable

What does a sustainable Western Washington University look like?

The first Sustainability Action Plan for Western is currently under development, and the Sustainability Advisory Committee is soliciting comments and questions. An input event planned for 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, in the Wilson Library Reading Room, aims to collect input on campus dining, student life, curriculum, energy, transportation and more.

Mitchell Thomashow, author of "The Nine Elements of a Sustainable Campus," present the keynote speech.

Those interested in participating further in the planning process may contact Susanna Hamilton, Western's Sustainability Action Plan coordinator, at 360-650-4357.
