In memoriam: James C. Potter, 1938-2011

Jim Potter died Jan 5 in Bellingham.

Many Western Washington University staff members supported his family all through the last year after his catastrophic injury.

Potter served WWU as employment representative from 1990 to 2000, when he was happy to retire and spend time with family and fishing.

He is survived by wife Julie Potter Marx, Computer Science department; daughter and son(in-law) Danae and Graham Johnson of Ferndale; daughter Deborah Potter at PLU in Tacoma; and beloved grandsons Leland and Jude Johnson.

A celebration of Jim's life will take place at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, at Guiseppe’s Al Porto, at 21 Bellwether Way, Suite 112, in the Bellingham Marina.

Friends and colleagues at WWU are warmly welcome.
