'High School Musical' continues this weekend on campus

The WWU Department of Theatre Arts' presentation of “High School Musical,” directed by WWU Theatre Arts Chair Deborah Currier, continues this weekend in the Performing Arts Center Underground Theater.

The musical sensation from Disney Studios that started it all, “High School Musical” follows two high school juniors from rival cliques. The story has been considered a modern adaption of the classic love story, “Romeo and Juliet,” and is a great family production with plenty of singing and dancing for everyone to enjoy.

The show will begin at 7:30 p.m. tonight and Saturday, July 30 and 31, as well as Aug. 5, 6 and 7. The show will take place at 2 p.m. on Sundays, Aug. 1 and 8. It opened this past weekend.

Tickets are available through the WWU Box Office and cost $12 general; $10 seniors, WWU faculty and staff; and $8 for students.

WWU Box Office hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and one hour prior to the performance. For tickets or disability accommodations, contact the WWU Box Office at (360) 650-6146.
