Grimm, students publish video and article on sugar craving in rats

Jeff Grimm, a professor of psychology at Western Washington University, published a video journal article in November 2011. The Journal of Visualized Experiments (JoVE) publishes peer-reviewed methods articles that include both a manuscript and a video that is made on site by a professional videographer.

Grimm's article is titled “A General Method for Evaluating Incubation of Sucrose Craving in Rats.” Four undergraduates contributed to the article and are featured in the video. The students -- Jesse Barnes, Kindsey North, Stefan Collins, and Rachel Weber -- are part of, or have recently graduated from, the undergraduate program in Behavioral Neuroscience at WWU. The research was supported by the National Institute on Drug Abuse and the Behavioral Neuroscience Program at WWU.

Thus far, the article has had more than 7,200 views online.

The article and video are found on the JoVE website (subscription required).
