Graduate students to present biology lectures June 4, 9 and 16

A couple of graduate students in the Biology Department at Western Washington University will present lectures this week on campus.

  • At noon on Friday, June 4, Tasha Johnson will present "Sex with aliens: The effects of a showy, invasive plant (Rubus armeniacus) on the pollination of a rare, endemic wildflower, Sidalcea hendersonii" in Science Lecture Hall Room 110.
  • At 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 9, Virginia Selz will present "Nitrogen Source Affects Growth and Grazing of Synechococcus Strains" in Biology Building Room 212.
  • At noon on Wednesday, June 16, Austen Thomas will present "Pacific herring spawning aggregations: Seal feast or side salad?" in Biology Building Room 234.

These presentations are free and open to the public.
