Grab free coffee Wednesday to celebrate Western's 122nd birthday

Founded on Feb. 24, 1893, Western Washington University this year celebrates its 122nd birthday.

In celebration, President Bruce and First Lady Cyndie Shepard will be handing out T-shirts to the first 122 staff, faculty or students at the Western Wednesday Coffee Booth outside Carver Gymnasium on Wednesday, Feb. 25. Wake up to Western Wednesday with free Viking Blend coffee courtesy of The Woods Coffee. Cupcakes also will be provided.

The booth opens at 9 a.m. and closes at 11 or when the coffee runs out. The booth will be just inside the gym's front doors if it's rainy or windy.
